My research area focuses on terahertz photonics, specifically on the development of THz devices, components, and optical instrumentation. I am working as a research fellow in the Ultrafast & Terahertz Photonics Group led by Prof. James Lloyd Hughes. My research topic is entitled "Adaptive Terahertz Components for Advanced Integration System".
I moved to the UK in 2023 to take up a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Synthetic Optics Group, led by Prof. Andrea Di Falco, in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of St Andrews. My research focused on developing novel anticounterfeiting technologies based on conformable holographic metasurfaces. I completed my PhD in terahertz photonics at the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India, under the supervision of Prof. Gagan Kumar. During my doctoral work, I developed a range of devices for terahertz beam sensing, modulation, polarisation control, and slow-light applications. I am originally from Kolkata, India.
