Careers

There are so many different options to get into jobs related to electrification. From engineers to chemists, policymakers to behaviourists there are so many different skills required to fuel the electric revolution. There are also so many pathways to be able to get there!

Career Pathways

It can be hard to decide what career path to follow at such a young age. The following quizzes attempt to match what type of job roles could be good for you based on your personality type. These quizzes can be a useful tool if you are unsure exactly what you want to do but always bear in mind that you should always do something that interests you and you enjoy! It's also perfectly okay to change your career route later down the line as many of us already have! Here are some links to said quizzes:

Some options you could consider going forward include attending university to do a degree, degree apprenticeships, internships and on the job training. Here are some examples of the different routes you can take available through WMG, these options will also be available through lots of other centres across the UK and abroad.

A great way to get an idea of what area you will fit into best is to look out for opportunities to try different jobs via internships and summer programmes like this one. Continue to get involved wherever you can and keep an eye out for other opportunities, a lot of these will be open to undergraduate students however there are opportunities for students taking a-levels so keep an eye out.
