General issues and problems when using AI

In the introduction of Module 9Link opens in a new window, we learnt the following issues when using AI:

1- AI can make up information that is not real or not true. This is known as AI hallucinations.

2- AI answers are not always correct and it can give you wrong answers.

3- Any information you send or give AI might not be secure or private.

You should always keep in mind these three main issues and problems when using AI.

Regardless of what you are using AI for and you should always try to use AI in a safe way, you should:

1- Double check the information provided to you by the AI.

2- Only sharing the needed information with AI.

💡

Although most Generative AI platforms have the same risks in terms of safety and security, some are safer than others or do not use your data to train other AI platforms or models.

One example is Proton’s LumoLink opens in a new window, which is safer and more private than other more well-known Generative AI platforms mentioned above.

⚠️
It is important for you to remember any information you send or give to the known AI platforms will not be private. Therefore, you should NOT send or give AI any personal or private information.
