Postgraduate Students: Your Warwick Law School journey starts here
These pages are currently being updated for students joining us in September 2025. Please check back later in the summer for updated information.
Welcome Week
The Warwick Law School Welcome Week will run from Monday 29 September to Friday 3 October 2025 and will take place in person across campus.
Our Law specific induction activities are designed to help you settle in, make new friends and prepare yourself for the start of term. The University also has an impressive schedule of activities planned for Welcome Week which will run until Sunday 5 October 2025. You will have the opportunity to select which events interest you and create a personalised Welcome Week timetable.
Welcome Week Timetable - available from September 2025
You are expected to attend all of the Law School Welcome Week activities we have organised for you as they will provide you with all the essential information you will need during your year with us. But we also encourage you to go to as many University-wide Welcome Week events as possible, throw yourself into the opportunities we offer, and get as much out of your first few weeks as you can. More information can be found on 'Welcome to Warwick'.
We would like to highlight the following event to our new international students hosted by the University of Warwick's Student Experience division during welcome week:
Adapting to Living and Studying in the UK| Tue 30 Sep or Fri 3 Oct
An interactive Q&A session for international PGTs. Get signposted to important support services which you may find valuable. These sessions will be available to book on the welcome week timetable.
Please make sure you enrol online to ensure you can access all the information you need to see when term begins.
Please see the University Guidance for New Students page for details on immigration, enrolment and arrivals information.
Finally, it is very important that you check your Warwick email regularly throughout the year. This is how the Law School will communicate with you and where you will receive regular information from the Directors of Postgraduate Studies and Student Experience; the Student Services Manager; your Personal Tutor and the Central University.
Welcome from the Director of Postgraduate Studies
On behalf of the Law School it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Masters in Law (LLM) programme at the University of Warwick. We are delighted that you have chosen to join our LLM and congratulate you on your admission.
We look forward to working with you throughout this academic year which we hope will be a most rewarding and enriching experience.
At Warwick Law School, you will be taught by and study alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds with diverse perspectives that will enrich your learning and support your academic and career development. You will be taught by world-class academics and study law beyond just legal doctrines, rules and institutions. We seek to explore how the law is shaped by social, economic and political circumstances. We pride ourselves in delivering a very interactive learning experience that will give you the opportunity to express your views and problem solve with your fellow classmates in both large and small groups. To make the most of your studies, remember to attend all classes, prepare in advance, participate, and reflect afterwards. We are excited to offer the best possible experience and support you through this important journey. With an emphasis on enhancing your employability skills.
There is a great deal of helpful information on these webpages about our teaching programmes and the services and activities available at the Law School and Warwick University. Please take some time to view the material. I look forward to meeting you during the Postgraduate Welcome Week and wish you every success in your studies this year.
