SPUDM 2021

Warwick Business School and the University of Warwick's Department of Psychology are delighted to be hosting SPUDM in an online format, from Sunday 22 to Tuesday 24 August 2021.

Key Conference dates:

Call for Papers: Monday 22 February

Submission deadline: Friday 30 April 2021

Notification of acceptance: Tuesday 15 June 2021

Early bird registration: May 2021 until Thursday 22 July 2021

Late registration from Friday 23 July 22 July 2021

Our keynote speakers include Rory Sutherland (Vice Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising), Ilana RItov (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and Gaëlle Vallée-Tourangeau (President-elect EADM). There will also be a special guest appearance by Daniel Kahneman, who will field questions about his forthcoming book Noise (co-written by Oliver Sibony and Cass Sunstein).

This year's fee will be considerably lower than for the in-person conference, to reflect the online delivery. We plan to run SPUDM 2021 with a combination of plenary and parallel sessions involving live presentations and discussion; in case of potential internet connectivity issues, pre-recording presentations is an option.

SPUDM 2021 will follow our usual format, starting on a Sunday evening with a talk by the incoming president, followed by an online social event.

We will be announcing more details as we consolidate plans, so please bookmark this page and check for updates.

SPUDM 2021's organising and scientific committees very much look forward to welcoming you - if only virtually - to Warwick in August 2021.
