Robert Gernhardt is a poet, cartoonist, satirist, essayist, novelist and painter. His work on the satirical magazines Pardon and Titanic has influenced generations of German satirists with its combination of social critique, and an irreverent attitude towards cultural and literary traditions. He will read from his published works, in collaboration with his English translator, Ursula Runde. The event will be in German and English.
