Workshop: Using Your Website to Generate Business

The National Business to Business Centre, together with Connect Midlands, will be hosting a new event on 4 July 2006 to help start-up companies generate business from their websites. By adding Connect Midlands to the mix, delegates will also learn how they can access training and finance for growth.

The concept for this new event, entitled Using your Website to Generate Business, was developed to ensure start-ups fully exploit their website - an important interface of the business - to build new customers and reach new markets. Having a website also adds credibility to those start-up businesses seeking investment.

In this breakfast briefing delegates will be shown a range of free online tools and techniques to drive more traffic to their website. Martin King-Turner, Director of the National B2B Centre, explains: "Many start-up companies do not have the experience to know how to get their website in the popular search results and in front of potential clients. This event will show them quick and easy techniques that can be used straight away to improve their website's visibility amongst the 4 billion other pages on the World Wide Web."

With its expert advice and hands-on demonstrations this breakfast event will empower start-up businesses with the motivation and knowledge to use the web to grow their business.
