Researchers at the University of Warwick have been awarded £3.19m in funding to support a flagship project into antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The funding will enable multi-partner collaborations in order to tackle the growing threat of superbugs as part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary effort to fight their prevalence.

University of Warwick scientists have begun searching for planets after the unveiling of twelve robotically controlled telescopes. Based at European Southern Observatory’s (ESO) Paranal Observatory in northern Chile the telescopes will be remotely controlled by a team at the University of Warwick’s campus.

The discovery of a new particle will “transform our understanding” of the fundamental force of nature that binds the nuclei of atoms, researchers argue.

An environmentally friendly eco-car made from vegetables and designed by students at the University of Warwick has been on tour around Coventry and Warwickshire.

Its first public outing was at the Eden Project in April, but since then Eco One has been on the road meeting school pupils, business leaders and Coventry Ambassadors. Its next stop is a meeting of industry leaders and academics in Birmingham and it will then enjoy a day out at the Royal Show at Stoneleigh in July.
