Christmas on Campus 2008

Although many students have gone home for the festive period, there is a host of activities and facilities available at the University of Warwick for resident staff, students and the local community.

Warwick Arts Centre have a programme of exciting events for all the family including the classic Beauty and the Beast by Lyric Hammersmith showing until Saturday 3rd January 2009.

Younger children might prefer The Ugly Duckling - a new adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's classic tale by the Travelling Light and Tobacco Factory Theatre.

The University Sports Centre will be closing on Tuesday 23rd December at 11.00am, but will reopen on Friday 26th December. From Saturday 27th December to Wednesday 31st December the Sports Centre will be open from 10am to 3.30pm. They will be closed on Thursday 1st January, but reopen on Friday 2nd January with normal opening hours from then on.

University House will close at 6.00pm on the 24th December and will re-open at 7.00am on the 26th December. Throughout the rest of the Christmas season, the building will be open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The 24/7 Learning Grid will be closed on Christmas Day only.

The Spring term begins on Monday 5th January, when returning students and the beginning of a new year bring a flurry of activity. One World Week - the world's largest international student-run event begins on Sunday 18th January and ends on Monday 26th January and the Winter Awards Ceremonies will take place on the 21st and 22nd January
