The Big Bash

Originally Published 12 June 2002

Utterly brilliant TV personality and Warwick Graduate Timmy Mallett, hosted the Big Bash, providing his own unique brand of cult comedy, crazy specs, loud shirts, but thankfully, no mallet! The 'Pretty Small Jazz Band' and roaming street entertainers, The Splott Brothers, provided music, comedy and fun.

The "Big Bash Toys" proved popular for the more competitive among us whilst the Careers Service offered less frantic and more inspirational activities with their fortune telling stall.

Competitions were held throughout the afternoon, including the Warwick World Cup five-a-side football tournament and the University and prizes were generously donated by the Peacock Hotel Group, Boots plc, Danone, Mars, Proctor & Gamble, Retail Services, Warwick Arts Centre and Hospitality Services.

Competition winners and photos can be found on http://www.warwick.ac.uk/bigbash where you can also give your feedback on-line.
