The Government published its White Paper on Higher Education on 22 January, which sets out plans for radical reform and investment in universities and HE colleges. Universities UK's made an initial response to the paper on the same day. The Secretary of State for Education and Skills has set out the resources and priorities for higher education for 2003/4 to 2005/6 in the grant letter to the HEFCE, discussed by the HEFCE Board at its meeting on 23 January. All of these documents, including Charles Clarke?s statement to the House, are available on the DfES, HEFCE and UUK websites.
