Huge Turn Out for Staff Quiz
It certainly seemed as though everyone was there, not a spare seat in the house. Wednesday’s ‘Pub Quiz’ held in the University House Restaurant, attracted 21 quiz teams consisting of 117 people in total – what a turn out!
Everyone appears to have enjoyed themselves and if the feedback is anything to go by quiz contestants are already rearing to go again. A new quiz with a different set of questions means that next time you could be part of the winning team.
There was no mistaking the winner of Wednesday’s quiz and that team was ‘Call this a Pub?’ who won with a massive score of 110. They not only won the prizes of £25 M&S vouchers, 2 tickets to see shows of their choice at the Arts Centre and 2 SOZO goody bags. They also have the honour of setting the questions for the next quiz.
Our congratulations therefore go to the ‘Call this a Pub?’ team members who are: Mary Watson, Jillian Lloyd, Matt Bano, Jo Hawley, Kelly Robinson, and Lucie Hayes.
A special mention must also be given to the two teams who earned a joint second place position who were ‘Annexed’ and ‘Suck It And See’ who got a very respective 104 points each.
Co-quiz organiser Robert Horton has also apologised for his incorrect answer to the Dominoes question. This small error on Robert’s part did not affect the overall quiz result. I think you’ll also agree that both Casey Leaver and Robert did a very decent job indeed in organising this event, as they have done with many previous quizzes.
Remember to keep your eyes peeled as there will be an announcement on insite detailing when and where the next quiz will be held. Everyone, I am sure, will be looking forward to answering as many questions as possible as set by the ‘Call this a Pub?’ team.
