The 9th annual Warwick Economics Summit takes place later this month and with over 400 students expected to attend is the largest student-run academic conference of its kind in Europe.

Organised by the Warwick Economics Society, the student-only summit takes place between Friday 19 February and Sunday 21 February and all tickets are now sold out.

Held in the Ramphal building, the summit will include lectures from such distinguished speakers as Bob Janjuah, Royal Bank of Scotland's Chief Credit Strategist; Lord Digby Jones, UK Trade & Investment Business Ambassador; and Kevin Kallaugher, political cartoonist for The Economist.

Now in its 9th year, the Summit has evolved in form and stature into a truly international forum, one where talented students can listen to some of the world's most revered and inspirational speakers.

The summit provides an opportunity for students to gain inspiration from people who think differently and use the starting points put forth by the guest speakers to engage in debate and discussion in the student-led workshops. Not only a weekend of economics based talks, the summit encompasses the broader spheres of development, politics, globalization and international relations.

As well as the more serious work in the lecture theatres and workshops there is also a strong social schedule including a ball on the Saturday evening and ample opportunities for students to network with each other.

The annual event has only grown in popularity and in addition to external students from other prestigious UK universities, delegates from all over Europe and further attend, last year accounting for a quarter of the attendees. This year individual students and delegations will be attending from:
