15th Anniversary of Warwick Graduates' Association Hong Kong

WGAHK 15th AnniversaryWarwick Graduates' Association Hong Kong (WGAHK) is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. One of the most active UK university alumni groups in Hong Kong, it was founded by a group of Warwick graduates in 1994.

This year's WGAHK Annual Dinner will celebrate the Association's 15th anniversary and welcome Professor Nigel Thrift, Warwick's Vice-Chancellor and Honorary President of the WGAHK as Guest of Honour. It will take place on Saturday December 12th at the Soong Rooms, Butterfield’s Club and will be attended by Hong Kong alumni and a number of senior staff from Warwick who are making a special journey to join the celebrations.

WGAHK aims to promote and support fellowship among graduates and students of the University of Warwick, to foster relations between the University and Hong Kong and to raise funds for the WGAHK scholarship.

The Association has quickly become one of the University's most dynamic overseas alumni groups.  It runs a busy calendar of alumni-related networking, socialising and fundraising activities, all with the aim of bringing together Warwick's growing family in Hong Kong.  These activities include an annual reunion dinner and events such as golf matches, barbecues and day trips which give Hong Kong-based alumni and students the chance to meet and catch up with friends.

Originally known as the Warwick University Students' Association (Hong Kong), the group changed their name to the Warwick Graduates' Association (Hong Kong) in 2001 in order to better reflect the organisation's growth and development.
