Warwick academics shortlisted for AHRC Best Doctoral or Early Career Research medal

 

Dr Anna Harpin and Dr Rachel Bennett from the University of Warwick have been shortlisted for the Health Humanities Medal, a new national award led by the Arts and Humanities Research Council in association with the Wellcome Trust.

Wiley Prize in Economics awarded to Associate Professor Mirko Draca of Warwick Economics

Associate Professor Mirko Draca was named by the British Academy and Wiley as the winner of this year’s prize for his promising early-career work in economics, especially for his work on the effect of Chinese imports.

Professor Hilary Marland shortlisted for AHRC's Health Humanities Medal

Leading lawyer receives honorary doctorate from the University of Warwick

Trailblazing lawyer Dr Julie Maxton has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Warwick. Dr Maxton is Executive Director of the Royal Society, the UK’s oldest learned society, and is the first woman to hold that role.  She was made Honorary Doctor of Laws during Warwick’s summer degree ceremonies.
