Warwick to award honorary degree to Janet L. Yellen Chair of the US Federal Reserve System

The University of Warwick has announced today, Monday the 5th of October 2015  that it is to award an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) to Janet L. Yellen, Chair of the US Federal Reserve System (often known as “the Fed”). The award will be made at a ceremony to be held in Washington DC on 19 November 2015.


Love, loss and longing: the Warwick Prize for Writing 2015 announces shortlist

The Warwick Prize for Writing announces today, 2 October 2015, its shortlist of six titles under consideration for the £25,000 biennial literary award. The prize, which is run by the University of Warwick, is uniquely international and cross-disciplinary award, open to any genre or form of writing. The theme for this year’s prize is ‘Instinct’.

Coventry gives its highest honour to two leaders of automotive engineering industry

WMG Chairman, and founder, Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya kt, CBE, FREng, FRS joined Mr Ratan Tata GBE, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons limited to take the Oath of Freemen of the City of Coventry and sign the Roll of Honour during a ceremony at Coventry Cathedral.
