The University of Warwick Centre for Modern Languages is hosting a special evening of poetry and film to mark the launch of a new research project Chilean Exiles and World University Service (WUS) on 25 May 2017 at 18:00 in the Warwick Arts Centre cinema.
Hispanic Liverpool Community Collection documents over 90 pieces of the past
Nineteenth-century Liverpool was a global city. Although the city does not remember them, Liverpool was once home to thriving Spanish, Basque, Galician, Filipino and Latin American communities who lived and worked in the maritime and trade networks connecting Liverpool with its sister ports in the Luso-Hispanic world.
