Summer tennis camps to beat the holiday boredom

As Wimbledon gets underway, the University of Warwick Tennis Centre is offering the chance to keep youngsters fit and busy during the summer holidays.

The Centre is holding a number of Tennis and Climbing Camps for children aged eight to 16 during July and August. For a whole week, from 9am until 4pm, participants will spend half the day at the Tennis Centre and half at the Climbing Centre on the University’s main campus. Spaces are limited so early booking is advised, the camps will be held July 27-31, August 10-14 and August 24-28.

For younger children the Tennis Centre is running a Mini Tennis Camp. Children aged between five and eight can have some fun learning the basics of the sport. All abilities are welcome as the Centre uses appropriate tennis  balls and racket sizes for each child. Again spaces are limited so early booking is advised. The dates for the Mini Tennis Camp are July 21-23, August 4-6 and August 18-20.
