Behavioural Economics

Warwick University has a strong collaboration between psychologists and economists across the University. We have grants of £4M from the Leverhulme Trust and the Economic and Social Research Council, with PhD students and postdoctoral reseach fellows appointed across departments. We have a collaboration with the consumer organisation Which? and strong links with the financial services industry and research projects with regulators like the Financial Conduct Authority. Warwick has strengths in research in well-being and in mathematical modelling of risky, intertemporal, and consumer choice. We use laboratory experiments, field studies, panel data, and new "big data" sources in our approach to behavioural economics.
