First Year Undergraduate and IFP Accommodation 2026/2027

Please bear in mind we may have more rooms adapted for accessibility requirements than are required for the academic year, so it is possible students who do not require adaptations may be allocated to an adapted room.

Yes, we would absolutely encourage you to submit an accommodation application even if you have accepted your study offer with Warwick as your insurance choice.

If you meet the conditions noted in our Allocation PrinciplesLink opens in a new window you'll be guaranteed an offer of university-allocated accommodation. University-allocated accommodation includes rooms on campus in our residences or off campus in our partnership accommodation.

To be guaranteed an offer of university-allocated accommodation as a new, full-time student you will have:

1. Submitted your accommodation application online by 18 August 2026.
2. Held an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick by 18 August 2026. (Whether Warwick was originally your firm or insurance choice)

If you are applying to study at Warwick through clearing, please make sure you read the Clearing Students section of the Allocation Principles, as the allocation process and what you can expect differs.

If you're coming to Warwick as a first year undergraduate student, we will usually process your accommodation application after A level results have been released, when most students have an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick. If you are coming to Warwick as an IFP student, we usually process your accommodation application in late August.

Accommodation offers will be emailed in late August/early September. If you haven't heard from us regarding your accommodation by 8 September 2026, then please get in touch with us by emailing accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window.

You will have two working days to accept your offer of accommodation. If you miss this deadline we may not be able to make another offer of accommodation, so it’s important to regularly check your email accounts including your junk/clutter/spam inbox as we are only able to make one offer of accommodation. If you reject your offer by accident, please get in touch with us at accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window as soon as possible. If you accept an offer of accommodation for a particular residence on campus, your specific room allocation can change up until your date of arrival. If you happen to reject your offer, and decide to resubmit an application, we may not be able to make you another accommodation offer.

Please don't contact us if you haven't received an offer before this date and make sure you are regularly checking your emails including your spam/junk/clutter folders. Once you have enrolled and registered for an ITS account at Warwick, we will send correspondence to your Warwick email address, so please make sure you are regularly checking this email account too.

We aim to house first year undergraduate students together in separate flats/corridors to postgraduate students.

During the online application process you will be asked some profile questions for us to better understand your habits and hobbies. If you are allocated a room on campus, we aim to take this information into account in order to match you with other students to help create harmonious households.

Once campus accommodation is fully allocated, we will make offers of partnership accommodation to students. We aim to work with the private provides so that you are living alongside other University of Warwick students.

You will still be able to submit an application for accommodation after 18 August 2026 as we will continue to allocate eligible students who apply after this date on a rolling basis, subject to availability, across our campus residences and partnership accommodation. We would encourage you to apply for accommodation as soon as possible if you miss our guarantee deadline.

If you have specific accommodation requirements due to a medical condition or support needs, including a physical or hidden disability, you'll find details on how to get supported and the assessment process by visiting our Specific Accommodation RequirementsLink opens in a new window webpage. You should ensure you are supported by Wellbeing and Student Support by 17 August 2026. We advise you to submit any supporting evidence in advance of this deadline to ensure there is enough time for it to be assessed.

In addition to getting supported, you'll also need to apply for accommodation and confirm within your application that you have specific accommodation requirements and agree to follow the process to get supported. All students who will be under 18 at the point of entry should be aware that they are applying to live in an adult environment.

If you are under 18 on 24 September 2026 you will only be able to select en suite options for your residence preferences when applying for accommodation. Students aged 17 on 24 September 2026 who would like to be considered for a shared bathroom residence (such as for financial reasons) need to email accommodation@warwick.ac.ukLink opens in a new window by 12:00 on 17 August 2026 and include their shared bathroom residence preferences.

If you receive an offer for partnership accommodation, they will have their own cancellation terms that you will need to reveiw.

If you are planning to live at Warwick with your family, unfortunately our undergraduate residences are not suitable as rooms are single occupancy.

If you accept an offer of accommodation on campus, your accommodation fees will be added to your Warwick student account.
