The Review Sponsors are senior University leaders with experience of quality review activities (or similar methodologies) and knowledge of the University's education policy and quality expectations.

The Review Sponsors are responsible for:

• Approval of the departmental or cluster terms of reference
• Approval of the draft and finalised ITLR review panel composition
• Approval of the request for a second external reviewer panel member
• Approval of the finalised review report
• Acting as a point of escalation for queries or issues (such as reputational concerns from report publication or circulation) or requests for deviation from the ITLR process
• Presenting the report for AQSC moderation
• Overseeing action monitoring and sign-off on completed review report conditions
