Important reminder from the Permit Office
Do you request or return permits as part of your role?
The Permit Office has issued important reminders about submitting permit applications and returning completed permits.
If you use the INVIDA system, please make sure you're following the correct processes. Keeping to notice periods and returning signed-off permits on time helps maintain safe, compliant and efficient working across Estates.

Temporary traffic management on Library Road: 9 February - 22 February 2026
From Monday 9 February, temporary traffic management will be in place at the Library Road entrance for approximately 2 weeks. This will include a single-lane closure and temporary traffic lights.
Access for all vehicles will be maintained throughout the works, however large articulated lorries may experience difficulty exiting. To manage this safely, the contractor will coordinate their exit via the bollards adjacent to the Humanities building.
Temporary road closure on Cromwell Lane, Burton green: 07/04/2026 - 30/08/2026
Cromwell Lane in Burton Green will be closed from 8am on Tuesday 7 April to 6pm on Sunday 30 August 2026 to enable utility connection works, road surfacing and reinstatement. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout the work with a fully signed diversion route.

Lynchgate Car Park overflow closure from Monday 9th February
From Monday 9th February, the overflow outdoor section of the Lynchgate car park will be closed. Alternative parking will still be available within the multi-storey car park.
Temporary 3-way traffic lights on Stoneleigh Road from 13 January 2026 to 14 January 2026
Between 13 January 2026 and 14 January 2026, there will be temporary three-way traffic lights on Stoneleigh Road, near the Gibbet Hill Road roundabout and Leighton Close junction, for urgent utility repair and maintenance works being carried out by Severn Trent.
Traffic delays are expected during this period, particularly at peak times. Road users should allow additional time for their journeys.
