Background
The establishment of the University of Warwick was given approval by the government in 1961 and was granted its Royal Charter of Incorporation in March 1965. The University is an exempt charity whose principal regulator is the Office for Students (OfS). As an educational institution and an exempt charitable body the University does not have a registered charity number or a Company Registration number.
