Student Success Subcommittee

The Student Success Subcommittee has responsibility for creating an inclusive education and experience where students are welcomed from early point of contact and enabled to succeed to their full potential. The Subcommittee takes a holistic view across the educational and wider aspects of student life, prioritising engagement, inclusion, connection, wellbeing, and opportunities for students to engage in and be recognised for their intellectual, social and cultural contribution at Warwick and beyond. The Subcommittee has a remit across and champions the breadth of the University programmes and modes of delivery.

Terms of Reference

To approve:

1. A long-term roadmap for the work of the Subcommittee, its reporting bodies, faculties, professional services and commercial services that achieves shared priorities for student education and wider experience, access, success on course, progression and engagement, guided by the Education and Student Experience Strategy and the Access and Participation Plan.

2. Frameworks and change initiatives that:

a. Embed and improve how the University engages students in the design and enhancement of their university life and learning experience.

b. Embed and improve how the University uses progression, engagement and outcomes data to better understand and enhance the experience and impact of a Warwick Education for different students.

c. Integrate and maximise the impact of seed, project and innovation funding available for student success across the University.

3. Initiatives, projects, events and services developed or evolved in support of staff and student co-creators building successful, inclusive student learning and wider experiences and communities.

4. The terms of reference, membership, delegated authority, and forthcoming priorities of bodies reporting to it.

Notification of papers for consideration by the Student Success Subcommittee should be submitted to the Secretary three weeks in advance and the paper should be submitted two weeks in advance of the meeting at which they are to be considered.
