Office 365 is designed to work with any version of Microsoft Office that is in Microsoft mainstream support.
Office 365 is not designed to work with earlier versions of Office. Some may still connect, however, you should expect the quality of the user experience to diminish over time, and many new Office 365 experiences will not work at all.
We recommend that you use the most up to date Outlook Client as this will provide the best support.

POP and IMAP
You should no longer connect using legacy methods. Please update to a client that supports more modern methods of authentication or use alternatively Webmail.
WebMail / OWA
Office 365 is designed to work with the current or immediately previous version of Internet Explorer or Firefox and the latest version of Chrome or Safari.
You may be able to connect with earlier versions however you should expect the quality of the user experience to diminish over time, and many new Office 365 experiences will not work at all.
