Investigating Research Metrics

- Export as iCalendar
Location: Research Exchange, Library, Floor 3 Extension

An introduction to research metrics for PGR students and academic staff. The session will define key research metrics including citations, journal impact factors and altmetrics, and provide an opportunity to explore research metrics in your discipline. It will also discuss the limitations of research metrics and introduce responsible research metrics. This is a practical session using the Scopus, Web of Science and Dimensions research databases, so please bring your laptop or tablet so that you can join in the fun. This is an introductory session - no previous knowledge or experience of research metrics is required.

Booking is not required to attend the session, but PGR students can pre-book via Skills ForgeLink opens in a new window.

This session will take place in the Wolfson Research Exchange (3rd floor extension) in the Library. You are invited to join us from 10:30am for refreshments at Research Refresh, which is a weekly coffee, cake and chat session for PhD students in the library.

If you have any questions about this training session, please contact the Research and Academic Support Librarian team at academicsupport@warwick.ac.uk.
