New SafePod service for researchers - coming soon!
The Library is installing a new 'data safepod' on the second floor extension to support researchers accessing sensitive data. Up until now accessing these datasets had required physical travel by the researchers to the location of the datasets to access them securely. The University of Warwick SafePod will allow researchers from Warwick and the local region to access these datasets, securely, from much closer to home!
The SafePod will form part of a UK wide SafePod Network of twenty five pods and will provide access by researchers to secure datasets from:
- Office of National Statistics
- UK Data Service
- SAIL Databank, and more.
The SafePod will be installed over the week beginning 25 July 2022. During this period Silent Study Room 1, will be closed and there may be some disruption in the area. For alternative silent study, please use Silent Study Room 2 on the opposite end of the floor.
Researchers interested in accessing the SafePod can find more information on Research Data Management - we hope to be able to open the SafePod for bookings by Autumn 2022.
We’ve recruited a student newsletter team. They’ll be bringing you twice termly newsletters via a takeover of the Warwick Student newsletter and we’ll be posting some of the content in this Library news feed. Select the ‘takeover’ tag to filter student content.
