Residence Team

Your Residence Team are located in your Residence Hub Monday to Friday. They are responsible for the buildings you live in.

They can support with:

Residence Hubs are located in your hall of residence

They are open:

Monday-Thursday: 9am-5pm

Friday: 9am-4pm

Community Team

The Residential Community Team are here to support your transition into student living and throughout the academic year.

They offer peer support and signpost to services across campus.

They can support with:

RCA staff can be found in your Residence Hub between 7pm - 9pm every night

Receiving Deliveries and Mail

How do I receive my letters?

  • Letters get delivered to the post boxes in your Residence Hub.
  • You won’t get a notification when you receive a letter or small packages so please be proactive in checking your post box.
  • Your key fob can be used to open the mailbox belonging to your flat.

How do I collect my parcels?

  • You can collect your parcels from your designated parcel point. When you receive a parcel you will receive an email with collection information.
  • Bring your University card for identification. If you don’t, then you’ll need to provide alternative ID such as a passport or driving licence; without this you won't be able to collect your item(s).

  • 9am-5pm (until 4pm on Fridays)
  • Location: Hubs are located in your residence

Go to the Student Information Centre if Residence Hubs are closed

  • They are open 8am-8pm on weekdays*
  • and 10am-6pm on weekends*
  • Location: Senate House

*Opening hours may vary during holidays, please check their webpage for updates.

Everything else is closed?

  • Please visit the Community Safety Hub and they can help.
  • Location: Corner of Gibbet Hill Rd and Lord Bhattacharyya Way

If you are issued with a replacement key, please make sure the 'old' key is returned to either your residence hub or the Student Information Centre.

Room transfers

  • Students who are already living on campus are able to request a transfer to a different room.
  • Room transfers are dependent on availability which means the Accommodation Team are unable to guarantee transfers
  • Room availability is especially limited at the beginning of the academic year. Room transfers open a few weeks into term one. Click here for more information.

Direct room swaps

  • An alternative way to move rooms is to find another Warwick student living on campus who wishes to swap with you.
  • This may be quicker than waiting for a room to become available through the room transfer process.

Departing before end of contract

If you are leaving your accommodation early, you must complete a campus departure form.Link opens in a new window You should bear in mind that completing a campus departure form does not release you from the obligations of your contract and you will still be liable to pay your accommodation fees in full.

Advertising your room

  • You do have the option to try and find a suitable replacementLink opens in a new window student to take over your contract.
  • Accommodation can help students with a campus contract find a replacement by advertising student vacancies on their website to other Warwick students.

Specific accommodation requirements

  • The University understands that your accommodation needs may be influenced by your health or disability.
  • Whether you require specific adaptations to your room or a fridge for medication, the university is here to support you with your personal requirements.

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP)

A PEEP is a personal plan for students who require assistance or special arrangements in order to get to safety during an evacuation.

If you feel you need additional support evacuating a building please complete the initial online assessment.

Living on campus after your 1st year

  • Both undergraduate and postgraduate students returning to study at Warwick after their first year are able to book a room on campus.
  • Bookings are made on a first-come first-served basis for students who are not supported for specific accommodation requirements.
  • The Accommodation Team usually open room bookings for returning undergraduate students in November.
  • Returning postgraduate students can usually book accommodation when prospective student accommodation bookings open in Spring.

Warwick Studentpad

  • Warwick Studentpad is a free and exclusive service that supports you to browse for privately owned properties local to the University.
  • It allows you to liaise directly with landlords yourself to arrange viewings and sign contracts.
  • You can chat to other Warwick students to find housemates and talk about your experiences.
  • It also offers guidance on housing and how to carry out your own due diligence.

Get the right property

  • There’s plenty of accommodation to go around. Take the time to make the right decision in finding the type of property you think would suit you best.
  • Large purpose built student halls provide a student community away from campus. They can offer everything from en-suite rooms to studio apartments.
  • Individual student houses are the most traditional option for students. They often suit those in an established friendship group looking to become housemates.

The SU advice centre offers a range of support and advice for students looking for housing. They can look over your contract before you sign and offer valuable private accommodation advice.
