NIHR open-access policy to make peer-reviewed research articles openly available from June 2022
Peer-reviewed research articles supported by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) will have to be made “immediately, freely and openly accessible to all” from June next year under the funder’s new open-access policy.
The new rules will apply to all peer-reviewed research articles resulting from NIHR-funded studies submitted for publication on or after 1 June 2022.
