REF 2029 Code of Practice approved by Research England

The University of Warwick’s REF 2029 Code of Practice has been approved by Research England.

Following a university-wide consultation with staff during February and March, the Code was submitted to Research England on Monday 11 May.

The Code sets out the University’s approach to REF 2029 decision-making, including identifying staff with significant responsibility for research, recognising research independence, assigning outputs to Units of Assessment and selecting outputs for submission.

The approval marks an important milestone in Warwick’s preparations for REF 2029. The Code will now be formally adopted and will support transparent, consistent and inclusive decision-making throughout the REF process.
