Professor Mark Pollicott from the Department of Mathematics has been awarded a European Research Council Advanced Grant of €1.9m for a research project to develop new methods and theories in pure maths. This will have important and diverse applications to many different areas.

Warwick has successfully retained the European Commission HR Excellence in Research Award at the sixth year review point. This prestigious award aligns with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for their Recruitment.
Major grant awarded for research into cancerous cells
Understanding how cells divide is a major goal in cancer research. A new £1.2million project by Warwick Medical School’s Stephen Royle aims to understand cell biology phenomena at a molecular scale, which could lead to the development of possible new cancer therapies.
