With Glen Burley, Chief Executive, the Foundation Group of NHS trusts and Helen Bevan, Professor of Practice in Health and Care Improvement, Warwick Business School.
The health and care sector is the topic of more research at Warwick Business School than any other sector. The English National Health Service (NHS) has massive reach, with more than 1.6 million people using NHS services daily. We cannot separate health care from social care, with 1.4 million people using adult social care services each year.
This highly interactive session aims to provide those involved in teaching and research activities with an up to date overview of the health and care sector. Glen and Helen will provide a wide perspective of the NHS and wider care system in England; its mission, history, and organisation; its day to day and long term challenges. They will compare the NHS to other health systems globally and look to the future through policy choices and local actions to improve delivery of care.
This session is open to everyone with curiosity about the NHS and wider care system.
