What is involved in the publication process? This workshop introduces the essential things to consider when planning to publish your research: why you might want to publish, how to decide where to publish, how to promote your published work, open access and more.
By the end of the workshop you will have:
- Considered advantages and disadvantages of different routes to publication
- Seen examples of new kinds of electronic publications available on the Internet
- Considered copyright agreements and ways to publicise your work
- Heard about the new requirements for open access and how they might affect your choice of publication venue
- Started to develop a plan for your next publication

Who is it for? Postgraduate research students and research staff who are preparing to publish. To register for this workshop, you must be enrolled on (or recently graduated from) one of the following degrees: PhD, MPhil, Masters by Research, EngD, EdD, professional doctorate.
