How to be an effective researcher
Essential workshop for first-year postgraduate researchers
Warwick’s Research Student Skills Programme (RSSP) invites you to this intensive one-day workshop designed to help you make a successful start to your research degree.
"I cannot recommend this service highly enough: I spent the day being encouraged, affirmed and inspired by [the tutors], and got the chance to meet other new PhD students. It was so helpful to talk through challenges like project planning and miscommunication with other people at a similar stage, but from a number of different disciplines." (1st year PhD student, Department of French Studies)
The day provides you with the opportunity to build your understanding, skills and confidence in the following areas:
- Project planning
- Communication
- Working with your supervisor
- Connecting with the research community
- Professional development.
You will also hear from the Graduate School and Library about the support they offer during the research process.
