Welcome to the University’s LGBTQUA+ Staff Network!
This Network provides an opportunity for LGBTQUA+ staff to meet, share their experiences, discuss related issues, access information and support, and organise events.

How Can I Get Involved With the Network?
To find out about the Network’s activities on an ongoing basis, please join the JiscMail distribution list (the name and email address you sign up with will only be visible to the list administrators).

If you are not comfortable attending group events at this time and would prefer to meet initially with an LGBTQUA+ member of staff on a one-to-one basis, we’d encourage you to request a buddy via the LGBTQUA+ Staff Network Buddy Scheme.
What Does the Network Do?
The Network supports LGBTQUA+ staff and furthers LGBTQUA+ equality by:
- Organising social events for its members.
- Organising activities to inform and support its members.
- Providing community-building opportunities.
- Providing a regular forum for discussing LGBTQUA+ issues.
- Consulting LGBTQUA+ staff on related and arising issues.
The Network aims to be welcoming of all LGBTQUA+ staff, actively seeking to be inclusive of all marginalised and underrepresented groups.

Who Runs the LGBTQUA+ Staff Network?
The LGBTQUA+ Staff Network, along with the other Staff Networks, is run by and for its members, with administrative support from the university’s ED&I team.

What Does LGBTQUA+ Stand For?
The LGBTQUA+ acronym stands for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, undefined, asexual, and identities which are subject to similar forms of prejudice and discrimination.
