Key things to consider
Before you go abroad, it's important to consider the following steps:
- Risk Assessment - We strongly advise all students to complete a risk assessment, assessing your own risk during an activity. You can find a template hereLink opens in a new window
- Insurance - It's important to ensure you have adequate insurance to cover your activity. Please note for short-term activity, you are not covered by Warwick's business insurance
- FCDO Advice - We advise all students to check the FCDO website Link opens in a new windowfor up to date information on the country you're visiting
Benefits of taking part
- HEAR Transcript - If you're taking part in a recognised activity (listed on our pages above), you can have your short-term activity formally recognised on your HEAR transcript. All we need is confirmation you've completed the activity by completing the 'tell us' formLink opens in a new window
- Warwick Award - when you return, make sure you log your activity with Warwick Award to receive points!
