Autoreply Template

We strongly recommend setting up an auto response to ensure all students/staff receive information about relevant support resources whenever they email, especially, for example, after business hours, overnight, weekends, and whenever you're away. To set up an autoreply, go to your mailbox, click 'file', in 'Account Information' click 'Automatic Replies' and add the text as required then click 'ok' to save.

Here is a suggested template, to adapted to suit your individual circumstances:

Please note that this email account is monitored

  1. [include times/days/alternative department contacts where appropriate].
  2. [Include some information about how long it is likely to be before the emailer receives a response].

eg: Please note that this email account is monitored during 9.00am and 5.30pm UK time, Monday to Fridays.

And/or

Please note that my usual working days are Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm during which I will aim to respond to emails within a couple of days. Please contact resourceXYZABC@warwick.ac.uk for a response outside of these times.
