Below are some online training resources that you may find useful:

Charlie Waller Memorial Trust - designed to give non-specialist staff the skills, knowledge and confidence to offer a first line of support to students who may have mental health issues.

Zero suicide alliance (20 minute module) - provides a range of awareness training options, which provide a better understanding of the signs to look out for and the skills required to approach someone who is struggling, whether that be through social isolation or suicidal thoughts.

NHS - We need to talk about suicide (60-90 mins) e-learning programme developed by a range of experts including experts by experience i.e. those who have attempted to take their own lives and those bereaved and affected by suicide. Useful for anyone in education and aimed at making sure that everyone in contact with the public, in whatever role, knows how to spot any signs of mental distress and feel comfortable talking about suicide.
