Meet your SU Postgraduate Officer, Alijah Taha
I’m Alijah Taha, and I was a postgraduate student at Warwick Business School during the last academic year. Having experienced the challenges of being a postgraduate first-hand, I understand how tricky it can be, especially for those of you who are here for just one year and might not get as many chances to interact.
That’s why I’m here to support you in every way I can and help you make the most of your time at Warwick. If you need anything—whether it’s support, suggestions, or just a friendly chat—please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m planning to hold weekly drop-in sessions at central campus locations, where you can have a chat with me in a relaxed, non-office environment. Keep an eye on the SU website’s postgraduate section and our social media channels for details on the exact days and times. Make sure to come by and say hello!
I’ll also be sharing my office hours soon, so feel free to pop in then as well. I’m here to make sure you don’t face the same challenges I did, and I’ll advocate for your concerns. My priorities include tackling the cost of living, improving examination methods, supporting mental health and disabled students, and ensuring that postgrad life is as wonderful as it can be for everyone.
And here’s a little something to brighten your day: the alpacas that campaigned for me are coming to campus! They’re experts at stress-relief and will be ready to offer cuddles and cheer. Who knew postgrad life would come with fluffy stress-busters?
I look forward to connecting with you and making your time here a bit more fun and fabulous!
