Coventry's Half Marathon winner

Congratulations to Adam Hudson, winner of Coventry's Half Marathon

Adam crossing the finish line
On Sunday 27 April 2025, thousands of Coventry runners took part in the annual Half Marathon, starting from Coventry's city centre and heading to the nearby countryside, towards Shakespeare’s county of Warwickshire.
We'd like to wish a huge congratulations to Adam Hudson, an undergraduate Statistics student at Warwick, who claimed first place in the race. Adam completed the Half Marathon in an impressive 70 minutes and 22 seconds.
Reflecting on his experience, Adam said:
The Half Marathon was an incredible experience. It was awesome to be cheered on by so many people in the streets of Coventry, and I was very pleased to cross the line in first place under the sun! I usually train with Warwick Athletics and Cross Country Club (WUAXC), but I spent the weeks preparing at home in London. I didn't change my regular training for the race, and so I was pleasantly surprised that I managed to run so well for my first Half on such a hot day. I ran with a group of my friends from Warwick's Christian Union, and they all did great to finish. We went to grab some food from Kokoro afterwards, but I couldn't stomach any food when feeling rough after the race!
