Coventry refuse collection strike action

Coventry City Council have recently launched new plans to help collect the city’s waste over the coming weeks as disruption to refuse collection continues due to industrial action.

The council will work with private contractor Tom White Waste throughout February and March to provide fortnightly household waste (green lidded bin) collections of waste from private households.

If you were expecting your bins to be collected but they weren’t, the Council has advised that you should leave them out until they have been emptied.

In the meantime, please continue to use the drop-off sites to dispose of household waste as needed ahead of your next collection.

Once the new service is up and running, some of the drop sites will be changed to accept only recyclable waste so residents can continue to recycle.

Please continue to be considerate of your neighbours as you manage the disruption caused by the industrial action.
