A metal roofing panel became loose on the IMC building during the high winds of Storm Ciara over the weekend.

The Estates and Security teams have established a safety cordon around the area closest to the damaged roof to protect staff and students in case of more damage. The teams have also closed one entrance to the IMC building, immediately below the damaged roof.

Contractors have been on site this week assessing the damage but wind speeds have made it too dangerous to construct scaffolding necessary to safely gain access to the roof. As the weather improves scaffolding will be erected and the building repaired.
