In memoriam: Sofia Wright
Tributes paid to ‘warm, popular and talented’ undergraduate Sofia Wright
We are deeply saddened to share the news that Sofia Wright, a first-year undergraduate in the Department of Psychology has passed away. We would like to express our sincere condolences to Sofia’s family, friends and peers.
Professor Derrick Watson, Head of Department and Dr Hester Duffy, Senior Tutor said:
“We are all shocked and saddened by this tragedy, we have lost a bright, popular and capable student.
“Sofia was a valued member of our community, well-liked by her fellow students and tutor group. Her friendly nature and warm personality shone through even in the short time we knew her. Her intellectual curiosity made her an asset to her classes.
“We will all feel her loss. Sofia’s parents have asked us to pass on their thanks to everyone at Warwick who came into contact with Sofia and made her time there so much fun.
“Our thoughts are with her family and friends.”
There is a condolence book to share messages and memories of Sofia. The messages will be published weekly on the page and will eventually be printed and gifted to Sofia's family.
