Thank you for sharing your views in the NSS 2025

Earlier this year, three-quarters of our final-year students completed the National Student Survey (NSS). The results were published nationally on 9 July, and we want to say a sincere thank you to the 3,893 Warwick students who took the time to share their feedback.
Your insights are invaluable in helping us understand what we’re doing well and where we can do better. Your academic departments will now review this feedback and work with Course Reps to continue improving the student experience.
Today, we're sharing the headline results. A full analysis will be carried out over the summer, and we'll share more detailed updates in the coming months.
The results
At Warwick, our results are positive overall. Through your feedback, we know that 85% of you would recommend Warwick as a place to study.
Warwick has scored above the sector benchmark in six of the seven key question groupings (Teaching, Learning Opportunities, Academic Support, Organisation and Management, Assessment and Feedback, and Student Voice) and remains on par for Learning Resources.
Overall scores
We know that overall, you have been particularly pleased with Learning Resources (91%), Academic Support and the teaching on your course (both at 90%). It’s great to hear that you have valued your expert teachers and have felt supported during your studies.
The most significant improvements were in Assessment and Feedback, which rose by 2.31%, and Student Voice, which increased by 2.5%. You ranked Warwick as second in the Russell Group for Student Voice at 80.9%.
We can see that you are satisfied with the opportunities provided to share your feedback and we will continue to work together with you, the Students’ Union and Student Representatives to keep the dialogue going.
Degree Apprentices and part-time students
For our Degree Apprentices, scores have increased significantly across 20 questions, with 93.2% of Warwick Degree Apprentices agreeing that assessments have allowed them to demonstrate what they have learned.
For our part-time students, scores have also increased significantly across 23 questions. 100% of part-time students agreed that:
- Teaching staff were good at explaining things.
- The course was intellectually stimulating.
- The course introduced subjects and concepts in a way that allowed them to build on what they had previously learned.
- The marking criteria were clear.
- Assessments allowed them to demonstrate what they had learned.
Next steps
You have also let us know where there is some room for improvement, including by ensuring that the feedback you receive on your assessments helps you improve your work, and ensuring that you know when we have acted on your feedback by closing the feedback loop.
We will be working on sharing how we act on the feedback you have provided about your course so that we can keep improving in these areas.
Get involved
Your department will review responses to the survey, including the many helpful comments on what is going well and what needs to change to further improve the learning experience in the year ahead.
If you’re returning next year, you’ll hear more about the changes we will make. Many of you will be contributing to new developments through Student Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs) or by feeding into other projects. You can also speak to your Course Rep and Students’ Union Officers if you have ideas for improving your course or a service provided by the University. You can also put yourself forward to fill an academic representation role in the next academic year – keep your eyes peeled for updates and nomination opportunities in your student newsletter and SU newsletter.
For those of you who have already made a difference through representation and participation opportunities: thank you!
