Posters in Parliament
Posters in Parliament is the annual sister event of the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR), and brings together a remarkable collection of the best undergraduate research from across the country. For 2019, two Warwick students who are due to present at BCUR in April were selected to present their posters. Ciara Doyle presented on The prescribing of laxatives alongside Clozapine: a trust-wide audit and Ivaylo Shirokanski presented a poster on The effect of “right to buy” Government policy on household income and mental health: panel data approach.
The event was held on Thursday 7 March 2019 in Portcullis House, London, with students attending from across the country. Our students presented their work to fellow undergraduate researchers and academics, as well as Government officials and MPs. Local MP for Warwick and Leamington, Matt Western, came along and spent time with Ivaylo discussing his research.
IATL, the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning, supports the work of student researchers and those who take part in events such as BCUR and Posters in Parliament. In 2018 IATL supported Warwick's James Blake who won the poster competition with his research titled, Modelling panspermia in the TRAPPIST-1 system.
