Warwick Volunteers Awards

On Thursday 17th March, Warwick Volunteers was happy to bring student volunteers, local community partners and the wider university community together during its celebration event.

The Celebration Event is held to thank our student volunteers and highlight the amazing contribution you make to the local community.

At the event 7 individuals and 4 groups of volunteers received the Warwick Volunteers Award in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the local community.

Nominations were received from community partners, University staff and peer volunteers, demonstrating achievement in one or more of the following categories: leadership, innovation, dedication and impact.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!

I feel personally, and I know the others on the Exec agree, that anyone who gives freely of their time for the benefit of others, without expecting anything in return, deserves recognition and I extend the thanks of everyone at Warwick Volunteers for your hard work and commitment this year.”

- Camilla Dobinson, Warwick Volunteers Exec President 2015-16

A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered this term, we’ve had an extremely successful year working with our long-term projects as well as increasing one-off volunteering opportunities. This could not have happened without your help. Every school, charity, or local community group student volunteers have volunteered at has benefited enormously and the feedback we have received has consistently highlighted how wonderful and supportive volunteers have been.”
