Waste and recycling in Leamington and Kenilworth
Warwick District Council has made some changes to waste and recycling collections with a new 123+ collection service.

What is the 123+ service?
1. A food waste collection, every week
Using a food caddy (a small kitchen caddy for inside your property) and a larger food waste bin to use outside and put out for collection. Read more about food waste collections.
2. A recycling collection, every two weeks
Using a new wheeled bin for mixed recycling. This new bin, provided by the council, will replace the current red box/bag recycling containers. Recycling now includes tetrapak, textiles and electricals - read more about recycling collections.
3. Your refuse bin collection will change from every 2 weeks to every 3 weeks
Using your grey-wheeled bin. Read more about refuse bin collections.
+. Garden waste collection every two weeks
Using your green bin. You can subscribe to the garden waste collection service on the Warwick District Council website - the service costs £20 per bin to cover the period between 1 August 2022 and 31 March 2023. Read more about garden waste collections.
If you live in a student property or House of Multiple Occupancy (HMO), it’s your landlord’s responsibility to get the right bins and storage facilities in place. Contact your landlord if you don’t have suitable facilities. The SU Advice Centre can offer help and support if you’re having trouble reaching your landlord.
