Introduction
Old:Imagine if you had the confidence to react more effectively in a critical care situation. Our course in Advanced Critical Care Practice aims to develop clinicians to undertake autonomous practice within critical care environments such as ITU or HEMS and will help you to feel confident in delivering the best possible patient care. Armed with up-to-date knowledge and skills you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives.
The University of Warwick is in the process of obtaining FICM HEI accreditation for its Advanced Critical Care Practitioner MSc. This course is an updated version of its predecessor and delivery of this inaugural iteration is progressing in line with FICM expectations. Confirmation of full FICM accreditation is anticipated in June 2025.

The MSc Advanced Critical Care Practice (ACCP) provides nurses, paramedics and allied health professionals who wish to extend their scope of clinical practice towards autonomous practice in the speciality of critical care in the pre-hospital or in-hospital setting, a structured education program.Advanced Critical Care Practitioner roles have been developed as part of a larger NHS national workforce strategy. (NHS, Long Term Plan, 2019). The course is based on the National Curriculum and Syllabus for ACCPs published by the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine.
