STEM at Warwick
We have a responsibility to equip future generations by providing a relevant, challenging and inspiring scientific education, ensuring they can play their part in solving the most complex challenges of our time. And we want to attract the most dynamic and capable students from around the world to study STEM at Warwick.
That is why we are investing in providing an inspirational learning environment that will bring together staff and students from across our STEM departments, enabling them to easily share their knowledge, ideas and passion for their subjects. Our substantial capital investment will ensure that future STEM students will benefit from incredible new state-of-the-art facilities within our new £425m Science and Engineering Precinct.
Interdisciplinary courses
We are also transforming and enhancing our educational offer, to ensure it is focused on both subjects that matter now and those that will be vitally important for our world in the years to come. We have designed a suite of new flagship sector-leading courses under the umbrella of 'Science for Sustainable Futures', launching three programmes to date with further courses to follow over the coming years. In addition, we are building on our reputation for educational excellence in STEM by growing our existing disciplinary provision.
The courses will place a strong emphasis on interdisciplinarity, as well as pioneering new, innovative teaching methods that provide opportunities for students to collaborate, innovate, and engage with industry. By learning across traditional discipline boundaries, and building their critical thinking, theoretical and practical skills, students can be sure they are developing the high-level understanding and real-world insight prized by industry partners, and employers more broadly.
