Elise is a legal assistant at the Dutch Prosecution Service, specialising in medical criminal cases.
Describe your current role and what attracted you to it.
I currently work as an assistant to the prosecutor in medical criminal cases. I find the combination of medical and criminal law highly interesting.
What are the key skills you learnt at Warwick that have helped you with your career to date?
My interest in and knowledge of medical criminal law was first aroused during my semester abroad at the University of Warwick. It was here where I first studied medical law.
Did you have a specific career path in mind when you chose to study at Warwick?
I've always known that I wanted to become a prosecutor. During my semester abroad, I explored legal career options in the UK. Unfortunately, this was too complicated and expensive for me.
